I will take you from the Great Depression years of the 1930's through the early 1940's. I will try to give the reader as much detail as needed to understand the uniqueness of this story.
The wrestlers involved with the Otto twins were all "part time" wrestlers. They all had a full time job or business. Edwin and Earl also worked full time jobs (at a Kimberly Clark paper mill in Appleton) and wrestled part time. The wrestling shows were done in Arena House matches and Carnival tent shows. The wrestlers enjoyed the little extra money from wrestling but they also enjoyed the sport and putting on a show.
